Open auditions for I, Ebenezer set Sept. 10-11

The Northeast State Community College Department of Theater announces open auditions for the fall production of I, Ebenezer, a retelling of Ebenezer Scrooge’s Christmas nightmare. Written by Northeast State’s Brad McKenzie and based on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, the play will tell a time-traveling Christmas tale in the age of steam…and robots!

Performers are invited to two open auditions scheduled Sept. 10 and 11 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Regional Center for the Performing Arts (RCPA) on the College’s main campus at Blountville. Auditions are open to all students, faculty, and community members.

Performers are asked to gather in the lobby of the RCPA Theater. Performers are asked to be familiar with the story and prepare a one-minute monologue. Sides from the play will be provided. Callbacks will be made Sept. 12. A list of performers invited to callbacks will be posted at the Theater website.
