The Northeast State Singers present the “Anything Goes” spring concert on May 5 at 7 p.m. in the Wellmont Regional Center for the Performing Arts Theater on the main campus at Blountville. The concert features special guests the Appalachian Express Chorus.
The Northeast State Singers were established under the College’s Department of Music and instructor Tawana Teague. The students who comprise the Northeast State Singers perform at college events including Honors Convocation, spring commencement, and Veterans’ Day ceremonies. The group has also performed several holiday concerts.
The Appalachian Express Chorus has been entertaining audiences with the sounds of four-part Barbershop harmony. The men who comprise the Appalachian Express come from all areas of the greater Tri-Cities, and their talents have allowed the Chorus to become one of the most respected singing organizations in the region.
Tickets are $12 Adult, $8 seniors (60 and up), and $6 all others. Northeast State students get free admission with valid student identification.
