Northeast State offering Microsoft Office courses this spring

Workforce Solutions at Northeast State offers a series of courses this spring on the 2010 Microsoft Office programs of Powerpoint, Access, and Outlook messaging.  Three of the five courses are being taught at the Kingsport Center for Higher Education (KCHE) site of Northeast State at Kingsport.

 Access 2010 – Basic introduces students to the basics of Microsoft Office’s Access 2010. The class meets March 29, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at KCHE, Room 205.  The fee is $110 per student.

Access 2010 – Intermediate continues Access instruction to create and edit more advanced and efficient forms and reports. The class meets April 12, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at KCHE, Room 205.  Fee is $110. Registration deadline is March 29.

Maximizing Outlook introduces students to Microsoft Office’s Outlook 2010. Students learn e-mail, contacts and calendar instruction, messaging, and journal functions. The class meets April 19, 8 a.m. to 12 noon at KCHE, Room 205.  Fee is $80. Registration deadline is April 5.

Powerpoint 2010 – Basic welcomes students to MS Office Powerpoint and the world of slide presentations. The class meets April 20, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the main campus in Blountville, 2425 Highway 75, adjacent to Tri-Cities Regional Airport. The fee is $110. Registration deadline is April 6.

Powerpoint 2010 – Advanced finalizes the instruction of PowerPoint 2010 programs. Participants learn how to customize presentations, use multimedia and SmartArt graphics, and integrate action buttons into a presentation. The class meets May 11, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the main campus. Fee is $110.  Registration deadline is April 27.
